What Tom’s Roots Link is
Tom’s Roots Link is a free directory and search launcher for family history, operated as part of Tom’s Mini Mall (tomsminimall.com), which is independently owned and operated. It lists and links to genealogy websites and record collections that are free to search. It is a directory of links only.
We link; we do not copy
- This site does not host, mirror, scrape, copy or republish the databases, indexes, records, images, trees, articles or documents of any site it links to.
- When you search a name, the buttons open the other site’s own search page in a new tab. You view the records on that site, under that site’s terms.
- Where live results appear (newspaper pages from the Library of Congress and books from the Internet Archive), only the title, date and link returned by those services’ public search are shown. The link goes to the source, which owns or controls the content.
- A small database on this site lists deceased persons, with names, dates and places entered by the site owner. Facts only; no text, trees or images are copied from other sites. Living people are never published.
Third-party sites
- Linked sites are independent. Tom’s Roots Link is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, or by any government agency or tribal nation.
- FamilySearch, Find a Grave, WikiTree, BillionGraves, HathiTrust, Internet Archive, Library of Congress, National Archives, Oklahoma Historical Society and all other names are the property of their owners and are used only to identify the sites we link to.
- We do not control those sites’ content, accuracy, availability, privacy practices, terms, fees or accounts. A site that is free today may change. Where a free account is required, we say so. Use of each site is subject to its own terms.
Records and accuracy
- Genealogical information can be incomplete, transcribed wrongly or disputed. Verify anything important against original records.
- The Dawes Rolls are historical U.S. government records. The National Archives lists its digitized Index to the Final Rolls as public domain. Being listed or not listed on a roll is not a determination of tribal citizenship or enrollment; contact the tribal nation directly for that.
Privacy
- When you search, your name entry is sent to our server, which asks the Library of Congress and Internet Archive public search for matches. Results are held in a short-lived cache. We do not save your search history in a database.
- When you click a link, you leave this site, and the other site’s privacy practices apply.
- See the Tom’s Mini Mall Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
No warranty and limit of liability
This site and its links are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tom’s Mini Mall and its owner are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or any site it links to.
